Uganda Partnership Documentary

A documentary detailing the clinical benefits of nutritional therapy for people living with HIV/AIDS soon to be launched. Film makers and representatives from the Harold Foster Foundation recently returned from Uganda where widows, children and the doctors overseeing their care were interviewed. It is anticipated that the documentary will be ready for viewing sometime in November.  

Shipment Arrives in Bushenyi, Notes Received from the Women

Uganda Project Update With some assistance from a generous friend who was travelling to Uganda, we have sent over another shipment of nutritional supplements to Bushenyi, Uganda.  The project coordinator made the trip to Kampala to pick up the supplements, and we are very happy to hear everyone is continuing to feel better and are doing well. ~The Ugandan project coordinator sent the following message from the field: 

Dr. Foster Inducted into Orthomolecular Medicine Hall of Fame

On Saturday, May 1, Dr. Harold Foster was inducted in the Orthomolecular Medicine Hall of Fame at the 39th Annual Orthomolecular Medicine Today Conference in Vancouver, BC.  Dr. Foster, along with fellow inductees Casimir Funk and Dr. Bruce Ames, joined other great contributors to the world of medicine such as Linus Pauling, Abram Hoffer, Frederick Klenner, and Thomas L. Cleave.  The award was accepted by JP Lafleur on behalf of Dr. Foster.  Below is an excerpt out of the Hall of Fame introduction write up.

Uganda Sponsorship Program Launched

The Harold Foster Foundation has joined efforts with the Uganda Partnership and the Gerry Morgan Foundation to transform the lives of many people living with HIV/AIDS in Uganda.  Together, we are providing the tools needed to regain their health and build a sustainable life. For as little as $1.15 / day or $40 / month, sponsors can provide a child or widow with the nutrient supplements that are critical for the immune system and restoring key nutrient deficiencies. More information can be found in our Projects section, or you can email us at info@hdfoster.com. 

Dr. James Beaton to Speak at 2009 Farm Forum - "Some Aspects of the Importance of Selenium (Se) in Human and Animal Health"

Dr. Jim Beaton has been invited to the 2009 Farm Forum held in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan on Nov 18-19 to speak about the importance of Selenium in Human and Animal Health.  The abstract was co-written with Dr. Harold Foster, and focuses on the importance of Selenium, discusses benefits derived from it and puts forward suggestions on ways to incorporate it's use into the farming industry.  For more information on the abstract or the conference, visit http://www.thefarmforumevent.com/speakers/. 

Nutritional Supplements Delay the Progression of AIDS in HIV-Infected Patients not Receiving Antiretroviral Treatment According to the Harold Foster Foundation

US AIDS Conference SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Data presented today from a 310 patient, 52 week, double-blind, controlled clinical trial demonstrates that a micronutrient supplement, Replenish+™ delays the progression of AIDS in HIV-infected patients not receiving antiretroviral treatment (ART).1 Replenish+™ formulated by study investigator Dr Harold Foster, delayed the progression of HIV to AIDS as observed by significant increases in CD4 counts, glutathione peroxidase levels, weight and quality of life parameters (as measured by Karnofsky scores).
